Do you ever wonder what would happen if our school were a fictional movie? It would definitely not be a small, artsy indie film. It would actually be an over-the-top teen blockbuster filled with plot twists, hallway chases, and even hard-hitting, dramatic monologues delivered five minutes before the bell rings.

Here is the visual: The opening scene starts with students stumbling through doors, clutching iced coffees from Starbucks. Imagine how the soundtrack would be? The sound of sneakers squawking, lockers slamming, and someone screaming, “WAIT! What homework was DUE?” The cafeteria could be our main set, the place where side characters became legends. You have the group that debates whether Marvel or DC is better or the people who hardly have any time in their pockets to finish 3 assignments before the lunch bell ends. Every hallway has its own storyline. The main hall? Pure chaos! The senior hall? A dramatic reality show. The freshman hall? Let’s just say it’s the prequel that would be full of optimism, confusion, and backpacks that are the size of small planets.

Our teachers would definitely steal the show. Some are mentors who drop life advice in the middle of teaching! He might say, “You’ll use this in real life! Trust me.” Others are comical, cracking jokes about how they graded 200 papers and might “disappear into the copy room.” Then there is one teacher, whose tests could easily cause the movie’s villain arc. What about the climax of the movie? Finals! You would see students cramming in the library as if they were in a war zone: highlighters, snacks, and TEARS everywhere! One kid would dramatically whisper, “If I don’t pass this, I’m transferring to clown school!” while another student would say, “At least I have snacks.” Just when you think the movie is over-BOOM! Prom season hits! There’s the outfit stress montage, the awkward dance floor scenes, and a moment where the protagonist realizes it’s all been worth it.

By the end of the movie, graduation rolls up. The camera pans over the crowd: everybody fully dressed in caps and gowns, trying not to cry or trip on the stage. The soundtrack swells. Someone yells, “WE MADE IT,” and for once, the credits don’t roll, because we already know the story keeps going. As most people say, the show must go on!

If our school were a movie, it wouldn’t win an Oscar for perfect lighting or flawless dialogue. But, it would win for heart, chaos, and unforgettable characters. It’s the kind of movie you’d watch countless times, because no matter how wild it gets, it feels just like home.
